First of its kind SAT prep: The Brainplex's SAT prep classes are truly one of a kind in all of India. These classes are taught by our CEO, Vikram Arumilli, a graduate of Stanford University who understands what it takes to succeed on the SAT. We offer two SAT prep options for students – private tutoring and small group classes – which comprehensively cover the concepts and strategies needed to tackle the SAT.
An accomplished instructor with unparalleled experience: Vikram scored a 1570/1600 on the SAT and is a recent graduate of Stanford University. He has a strong understanding of the preparation required to successfully navigate the SAT, and has helped dozens of students in the U.S. and India improve their performance on the SAT. Vikram knows how to motivate and inspire students, and his first-hand SAT success and academic background is unmatched among SAT teachers in India.
Rigorous, personalized curriculum: Our SAT prep curriculum is rigorous, and focuses extensively on practicing actual SAT questions, as this helps students develop the strategies and timing to truly be comfortable on test day. In addition to thorough in-class work, students are expected to complete section exams as well as full-length practice exams every week as homework. Our group classes are limited to 12 students, allowing Vikram to provide personalized attention to each and every student. Each student in our group classes meets one-on-one with Vikram four times throughout the course of the eight-week program to develop and monitor a study plan that is personalized to each students' needs.
When should students take these classes? Our classes aimed at students who are planning to take the SAT in the coming months. In general, we believe that it is a good idea for students to start preparing for the SAT in the 10th grade or in the summer after 10th grade. Students will typically take the PSAT during the first half of their 11th grade school year and should take the SAT in the second half of their 11th grade year. Vikram has also worked with studentsin the 9th grade, as it is never a bad idea to start long-term preparation for the SAT. It is important to start studying early for the SAT, as more extensive preparation can only help in improving performance on the exam.
